July 18, 2023, 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Time: 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Location: Online
In this workshop you'll learn how to apply network analysis tools to estimate and visualize a walkability index for downtown Vancouver. The geoprocessing workflows employed in this workshop require prerequisite familiarity with the QGIS interface and basic spatial analysis tools.
Things to do before arriving.
QGIS is a free and open source desktop geographic information system (GIS). It can be installed on Windows, MacOS, and Linux using the download instructions here: https://www.qgis.org/en/site/forusers/download.html. This workshop will use the Long Term Release (LTR) version 3.22.
The workshop will be held virtually, so please install the long term release (LTR) of QGIS on your computer before the workshop. If you have questions about insalling the software, please contact Evan Thornberry before the workshop – evan.thornberry[at]ubc.ca
